Occupational therapy is the assessment and treatment of cognitive disabilities. It involves a focus on an individuals environment, daily tasks, education, and self-motivation. This is a person-centered approach that seeks to improve the mental well-being of individuals through a focus on daily activities. A key part of occupational therapy is working with families on the best way to interact with their children. We believe in an involved process where everyone in the family works to improve the quality of life of our students. Occupational therapy builds independence of individuals and happens at the same time as our other therapies.
